November 4th was Orphan Sunday all across the world because of the courage of one pastor.

Instead of watching “Revolution”, “House Hunters, or “The Voice” this week, I want to encourage you to watch this inspiring film. Or, eat your sandwich in front of the computer today at lunch. 🙂
OK, where was I?
The reason this video is so important is because it shows us two very important things:
1. Local problems need local solutions.
2. God works through humble, ordinary people.
If you or I ever thought that we would end the orphan crisis by echoing the problem from the largest mega-church building or by speaking at the White House or even at the U.N., we are sadly mistaken.
To end the orphan crisis, it has to begin in the heart of God’s children.
It has to begin and end with the church. God is beginning to awaken His people to the cause.
Christians all over the world are beginning to understand this and accept that call.
There are governments and organizations who will valiantly contribute along the way, but God is waiting for his faithful children to step forward and stand up for those who are most vulnerable.
Why would God choose to start “Orphan Sunday” in a village somewhere in Zambia?
I mean, this is a world wide movement now!
Could it be that God is simply looking for a humble, willing heart who is willing to obey?
He does like to work the impossible.
