Sunday, October 27th, I had the privilege to marry these two incredible people during a beautiful, outdoor wedding. And we have the selfie to prove it!
No one in attendance that day could have ever guessed that this would be the last time we would see one of our friends here on earth. The arrow in the picture above is pointing to another beautiful couple, Patrick (30) & Brittany Price(25). They are holding their newest little baby on a swing as they watch the wedding. Two days later, Patrick would suddenly and unexpectedly go to be with Jesus and Brittany (and their three children under the age of three) would begin life without their father/husband.
We were all devastated, but knew the incredible character of both Patrick and Brittany. We have prayed earnestly that the grace of God would overwhelm their family. We hurt with them. Now, we are moved to act on their behalf, to be their advocate.
Patrick & Brittany supported the work of Patch Our Planet.
Now we want to support them in their time of need.
How can we really help?
I have three ways:
- Patrick was a mentor to so many kids and teenagers through his local church. He cared about the fatherless and about widows. I was honored to know Patrick and to have served as his college pastor for a few years. I’m confident he is in the BEST place right now because of his relationship with Jesus. I’m also confident that the Body of Christ will wrap its loving arms around this family as they move ahead during the difficult months and years to come.
